CACM launched a statewide multimedia consumer awareness campaign in March 2014 demonstrating the value CCAMs bring to the more than 50,000 homeowners associations in California. The My Community Champion campaign, which featured television, radio, web and print elements, was rolled out in three phases:

  • Phase I: Sacramento and San Diego counties
  • Phase II: Bay Area and Central Coast
  • Phase III: Orange County, Los Angeles, Ventura and Inland Empire

At the conclusion of Phase III in March 2015, the campaign had generated more than 62 million positive impressions about community association management in California.

The awareness campaign included a consumer website,, that provides information about community association management and the responsibilities of HOA board members. The website also features a day-in-the-life of several community association managers. Consumers can visit this site to find out more about Champions in their area, or recognize their own community manager as a champion.
