Ethics Mastery Course

Share |

The CACM Ethics Mastery course has been developed to provide members, who are at the Internalization and Mastery skill levels as defined by the CACM Professional Pathway, with an opportunity to engage in an in-depth analysis of authentic, ethical dilemmas faced by community managers throughout the state. Unlike other courses, the Ethics Mastery course is offered through our Round Table format, facilitated by a member with expertise in this area. Participants will work in collaborative groups, selecting case studies from a diverse portfolio vetted by the Ethics Case Study Editorial Committee. The CACM Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Practice serves as a resource to shape discussions and inform analysis of each case study.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Analyze a portfolio of case studies that reflect industry-based, ethical dilemmas faced by community managers.

  • Using that analysis, engage in collaborative discussions to resolve each dilemma demonstrating an appropriate ethical behavior response
