Two scholarship funds were established to provide funding to California community managers who are seeking educational courses to achieve their CCAM certification or complete their CCAM recertification.
Applications are being accepted for the California Association of Community Managers Scholarship and the David J. Weigand Scholarship Funds. These two funds were created to enhance the professional training of community managers in California whose employer does not pay for nor reimburse the applicant for course work.
The CACM Scholarship funds are available for the Law Seminar, Annual Statewide Expo & Conference, Facilities Management Conferences and CACM courses. The David J. Weigand Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the memory of David J. Weigand, CCAM, former CACM Board Member and 2002 Vice Chair of the Expo Committee. This scholarship was established for CACM manager members seeking CCAM certification course work. These funds may only be applied towards the four California Law modules, the Ethics course and the BAM course. The David J. Weigand Scholarship Fund is limited annually to a total of ten certification courses.
